More "Reasons" From Discussion Joiners

When people join the discussion group I don't always post their "reason" field, which is primarily there to prevent scammers. Some are too good to pass up:

• Increasing risk to try new approaches, new products and new services - companies that sit still will be be passed over by those that are willing to move forward.
• The pervasive nature of military metaphors in business language, organisational structures and activities, including the notion that all of an organisation's activities are important secrets such that transparency would allow the 'enemy' to 'win'.
